Cultural exchange

Sang Ae comes into the gyomoshil with soap on her hands insisting that it wouldn’t wash off.  Sonsengnim berates her, explains to me a kind of trick that Korean kids play that is not dissimilar to the wedgie.  So I explain the wedgie.  Sonsengnim says that seems very strange to him.  I say that thrusting ones fingers forceably between another’s butt cheeks sounds strange to me.  I try to be mature even in my private mind when he uses the word “anal” instead of “butt cheeks.”
