the Korean take on multiculruralism.

May 25, 2006 ㅡ Olympic Park will host a multicultural sea of migrant workers Sunday for an annual Seoul festival that highlights countries in Asia and Africa, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said Wednesday.
The festival, named Migrants' Arirang after the Korean folk song, will have exhibition booths from the 18 countries that supply most of South Korea's migrant workers, it said.Mongolia will have a bigger booth for its food, folk plays and daily instruments, while an Indonesian couple will hold a traditional Indonesia-style wedding ceremony, it said. Singing competitions, international football matches and kite-flying games are some of the main events.

During the annual gathering, the Korean government does not arrest illegal immigrants. About 400,000 migrant workers from China, Southeast Asia and as far as Nigeria reside in the country, most working in difficult, low-paying jobs.
