I’ve actually been living and working in Australia and New Zealand for the past year and a bit. Which admittedly is much more…English. But equally as crazy-far from home. I’m getting my Masters in Applied Linguistics now, so hopefully I’ll be one of those teachers soon enough.

Sometimes I make a salad with julienned vegetables (cucumber, zucchini, carrot, shredded cabbage) and those dry crunchy noodle crackers? And cover it in this dressing.

That dressing also sounds like it would be good on Japanese cold noodles.

I crave balsamic so much. Or anything like that – salt/vinegar chips, things that are so salty they burn. But my grandmother’s dressing is better.

For cheap fresh dressing with no preservatives that you can make for yourself:

1/3 part extra virgin (light) olive oil
1/3 part lemon juice
1/3 part low sodium soy sauce or tamari
Chopped garlic to taste
